[R] Hana, by: Lauren Oliver

Hana
(Delirium #1.5)
by: Lauren Oliver

4 of 5 stars

The summer before they're supposed to be cured of the ability to love, best friends Lena and Hana begin to drift apart. While Lena shies away from underground music and parties with boys, Hana jumps at her last chance to experience the forbidden. For her, the summer is full of wild music, dancing—and even her first kiss.

But on the surface, Hana must be a model of perfect behavior. She meets her approved match, Fred Hargrove, and glimpses the safe, comfortable life she’ll have with him once they marry. As the date for her cure draws ever closer, Hana desperately misses Lena, wonders how it feels to truly be in love, and is simultaneously terrified of rebelling and of falling into line.

my thoughts
Hana, Hana, Hana... what did you do? Never mind, for me this is the second short story of Delirium trilogy. I think this, because if you follow the order, it is. So, Hana... you know her. The blond girl, who is the best friend of Lena and who do makes a lot of trouble.

As you might know, Hana introduces Lena to the world of the "uncures". I called it like that because they are uncured, but they do not care if in their parties they get "infected" by love. So, you could say that Hana introduces Alex to Lena, not directly, but you know what I mean. In this short story, we see some scenes from Delirium, but in Hana's POV. We see how she thought and how she felt with the situation of Lena. She was very divided; between making Lena happy and being jealous of her love life. When Lena needs her help Hana hesitates. Will she help Lena? or Will she betray her? or Both?

To know the answer, you know what to do. *evil laugh*
